I’ve often heard that firefighting (and the same thing could be said about EMS) is something that gets in your blood – speaking of firefighters and paramedics…. I think that the same is true not just for those in the profession but any of us who have a legitimate interest (at least I like to think I do) in the field of Fire/EMS.
My husband commented today that I’ve been interested in this whole Fire/EMS thing for as long as we’ve been together. Actually, it’s been much longer than that. True there were some breaks in their, but the interest has always come back to me – full circle….. There’s just something about it that gets in your blood somehow, and won’t let go of you.
I guess, to some, it might be considered a bit crazy (maybe insane) that I should even have such an interest – After all, I don’t come from a line of firefighters or paramedics and I don’t work in the field… So why? Why this interest? That is something that I (honestly) don’t have a good answer to. All I know is that it is something that means a lot to me, something that is in my heart…. In my blood
