Today, Word Press had a Daily Prompt where we are to write our first memory of another person and write from that person’s POV. I decided to use my first memory of visiting a fire station using the POV of the Captain/Chief (memory has faded as to his exact role) of Springfield, Oregon. I thought I would share the post here:

I still remember this day. Remember watching as the firefighters slid down their poles and jumped into the waiting trucks. I remember thinking their feet never touched the ground (though, in reality, they would have had to). I believe this is the start to my interest in the Fire Service and Emergency Medical Services. An interest that has stayed with me through the years into adult hood.
