I think these are, by far, some of the best photos I’ve gotten when to Public Safety
I love how the sun was shining through the back part of the bay towards the front. It was one of those “I just happened to be at the right spot at the right time” type of shots.
There was a story behind how I came to get this particular picture. Let’s just say that it was quite accidental that I ended up coming across this. I believe the words that go with this particular display are something along the lines of “Together We Stand”
If you’re wondering how this picture relates to Public Safety… the lady in this picture is one of the Social Media officers for the Arlington Police Department. What you aren’t seeing is the little girl who had lost her mommy. I grabbed this picture as the officer was talking to the young girl, attempting to comfort her…. And yes, mommy and child were eventually re-united.
You might just want to do what this says…
It’s kind of hard to read the words on the engine itself (which I took at an autism event) – “Serving with Strong Hands and Caring Hearts” The other (more readable words) is text that I added to the photo… I’ve never known any firefighter to do the work they do just because it was “a job” or paid the bills — Everyone, that I’ve ever met, does it because they love what they do.
What I’d really like to know is, How could you not see something like that.
By far one of my most favorite pictures. I was honored to get the help of one of the Fort Worth Fire Departments firefighters to help me get this awesome picture.
