I’m terribly sorry to have been around the last several weeks to sit down and share some coffee with you all as well as a bit of Tidbits… If I were to be perfectly honest, I haven’t been able to come up with much to share, not anything that warrants a blogpost. Most of what I do is just small “Tidbit” type stuff that is generally best shared on my Facebook page and/or my Twitter account.
There are a couple pieces of news to share. For one thing, our local police department just started up a new Citizen Police Academy course, which I have joined…. The only bad news being that I may have run into a bit of a conflict of scheduling. Turns out there is at least one week (and could be up to three) that I would have to miss. Unfortunately, this could mean that I may have to forego the class this time around and I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I’m a bit down in the dumps about the whole thing. I was really looking forward to this opportunity to learn more about our local police department, as well as police in general – learning more about what they do and how they operate… I had even gotten permission to be able to write up a blog about the experience.
The other upcoming event, that I am really hoping to attend, is the 4th annual Climb 4 The Fallen on September 20. Turns out my husband also has something going on that same day. From what I’m hearing/understanding he HAS to be at his event – something he signed up to do or something that he’s doing that requires him to go. My dilemma is that I don’t feel like what I’m doing, going to the climb4TheFallen and writing up a blogpost for the event, is something that qualifies as a HAVE TO. I mean it’s not like I’m writing the blogpost for any official reason or volunteering in anyway. It’s just that I’ve been attending this event and writing up a blogpost every year for the past three (out of the four) years that this event has been going on and I really hate to miss out this year…. So keep your fingers crossed and your thoughts and prayers up that I get to attend this event again this year. There may not be an “Official” reason for my being there, but it really does mean a lot to me to be there to cheer the guys on as they climb in memory of those who sacrificed their lives on 9-11, to offer my support…
One thing I’m hoping to see again this year:
I’ve seen this same guy (well flag anyway) the past two times I’ve gone. I wonder if he’ll be back again this year.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET!!!!!
