Sometime back in mid-late February, maybe early March, I was looking at doing the April A-Z Challenge. I had a theme picked out – The History of the Fire Service – and I even started gathering some topics (with some help from a few guys that ate in the fire service). The bad news is that between everything going on and not having a computer to use, I’ve had to step down from doing the challenge this year… The good news – well there is none as far as this is concerned. I’m going to miss doing the challenge and sharing a bit about the History of the Fire Service. Who knows, maybe I’ll get to do a little bit if time allows.
Just a quick peak: Chapter One-Resuscitation by Jerrid Edgington…. Look for the final release in the next few weeks.
Well wouldn’t you know….. I go to put together my “Show Notes” for yesterday’s Blog Talk Show and wouldn’t you know I couldn’t find them. I mean the document is there, but when I opened it, I didn’t see the notes (which I use to put together the “Show Notes” posts – makes life easier) I had put together for the show, but rather the show from the week before (insert fuming face here)….. So, looks like I’m working from scratch. Guess Murphy decided to play a visit after the show (well at least it wasn’t during – knock on wood).
We had an awesome guest this week. Jerrid Edgington Paramedic & Author of the “Racing the Reaper” series shared with us what it’s like being a Paramedic – the good, the bad, the ugly – And news of his recently re-released book “Racing The Reaper” (get it now on Kindle for $.99 – such a deal!!) If you haven’t yet read this book, you’ll want to….. And if you’ve read the original version, you’ll want to read the new one (and feedback is definitely welcomed)
Note: I recently interviewed Jerrid for a bog challenge (on Jottings and Writings)… You can read that interview here:
Despite the fact that he is an awesome writer who keeps you on your toes wondering…. “What next” (a personal teaser: one scene had me on edge of seat wondering if it was the end for Jacob….. It doesn’t go as you think, but I’ll leave for you to read what actually happens.) Jerrid states that being a Paramedic is his first love and “where God wants him” He feels that there is a reason that things happened the way they did and that being a Paramedic is where he’s meant to be…. Until G-d says different – That’s where you’ll find him, He does however have some books in the works including a re-release of book 2 in the “Racing the Reaper” Series – Resuscitation coming soon and the release of book 3 (for now the title remains a secret).
